1. Who we are
Society.Law (society.law) is the website of the legal practice of Adv. Omkar M. Sapre, advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa (MAH/9520/2023), with offices at 207, Kiara, Artemis Phase II, Sun City Road, Wadgaon Bk, Pune 411051 and Office No. 8, Bahar Apartment, Sadashiv Peth, Pune 411030. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to the practice.
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what choices you have.
2. Information we collect
- Contact form. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, your message and your confirmation of consent.
- Direct contact. If you call, email or send a WhatsApp message, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your phone number and the content of your message.
- Technical information. Like most websites, the servers that host this site automatically record basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request — for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics tools to track visitors on this website.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and to decide whether, and how, we can assist;
- to check for conflicts of interest before accepting any matter;
- to maintain records that we are required to keep as part of our professional obligations; and
- to keep the website secure and working properly.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send you promotional messages.
4. Services that receive information
Some information is handled by service providers on our behalf or when you choose to use them:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and its forms;
- Google, which serves the fonts used on this site and the maps on the Contact page — your browser connects to Google to load them;
- WhatsApp / Meta, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp or follow our Facebook or Instagram pages, under their own privacy policies; and
- email providers used to receive and reply to messages.
5. Confidentiality and no advocate–client relationship
Please do not send confidential information or case documents through the website, by email or by WhatsApp until we have confirmed that we can act for you. Sending a message through this website does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship. Once a matter is accepted, information you share is handled in accordance with the professional duties of confidentiality that apply to advocates.
6. How long we keep information
We keep enquiries only for as long as needed to respond to them and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted when they are no longer needed. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it; or
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To make a request or raise a concern, contact Adv. Omkar M. Sapre at adv@omkarsapre.in or +91 98234 56236. We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive. However, no method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason not to send confidential material through the website.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
